Tiny blue-flowered species; A specimen (Mill 1979) under the name Lobelia heyneana is mentioned in Burrows & Willis (Sabonet 31: 198, 2005) but excluded as doubtful. It may concern a misidentification of this species. Otherwise this is the first confirmed record for the Nyika.
