Climber to 8 m high with white latex; in dry forest patch with a mosaic of deciduous mixed woodland on sandy soils. Occasional. Fruit gree, finely speckled with creamish dots.

Evergreen much-branched tree to 4 m tall; locally frequent component of understorey of swamp forest dominated by Anthocleista grandiflora, Voacanga thourasii, Antidesma vogeliana, Xylopia aethiopica and the fern Stenochlaena tenuifolia.
